Valentine's Day with the Canucks

Overview
For Valentine's Day, I wrote a series of hockey-themed Valentines that were featured in Episode 4 of the Vancouver Canucks' Breaking the Ice series giving fans a fun, shareable way to celebrate the occasion. These Valentines resonated with a niche but passionate audience, strengthening fan engagement through originality and relatability. This was executed in 2013 and has been adopted by many NHL teams in the years following.

Overview
Episode 7 of the Vancouver Canucks’ Breaking the Ice series featured a collaboration with CBC’s Don Cherry and Ron McLean, where players were matched with suits based on their personalities and style. The segment offered fans a lighthearted glimpse of internationally-acclaimed personalities off the ice, blending fashion with humour.

Behind the scenes, the production faced a razor-thin window between Hockey Night in Canada commitments, requiring careful orchestration and quick execution. Delivering under those conditions highlighted both creative agility and PR impact, resulting in a memorable piece that resonated with fans and media alike.

Accolades
"Brilliant" -Ron McLean
