Overview
To introduce the Sea Patroller toy from the PAW Patrol line, I served as writer and creative director for All PAWS on Deck, a stop motion theatrical trailer produced by Digital Wizards at Starburns Industries (home of Rick & Morty). Skye, the franchise’s standout female pup, took the spotlight in this piece for a compact, adventure-driven storyline designed to highlight the new vehicle. Because stop motion is so time intensive, every sequence was meticulously planned in advance. The animatic mapped out each moment to the last wag of a tail, ensuring the production stayed sharp, efficient, and on budget.
The spot ran in U.S. cinemas ahead of Pixar’s Cars 3, putting the brand directly in front of its core family audience at a high-profile moment. The imaginative approach built anticipation and visibility around the release, and the campaign played a role in boosting early sales of the Sea Patroller toy.
